Avapro Drug Interactions

by on June 2, 2012

Avapro can interact with many medications, both prescription and over the counter. Some of these include:

  • Diuretics—or water pills such as Furosemide (Lasix),
  • Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs—or NSAIDs—including Ibuprofen, Naproxen, Celecoxib, Diclofenac, Indomethacin and Meloxicam
  • Aspirin and any over-the-counter medications that contains Aspirin or other NSAIDs.

Patients who take Avapro should provide a complete list of medications they use—both prescription and over the counter—to their physicians and pharmacists to get help with monitoring for potentially serious drug interactions that can lead to severe Irbesartan side effects, serious illness or even death.
