Avodart Drug Interactions
Several medications can have adverse interactions with Avodart. These include, but are not limited to:
- Medications for the treatment of HIV or AIDS, such as Norvir, Lexiva, and Fortovase
- Antifungal drugs like Sporanox, Mycelex Troche, and Nizoral
- Isoniazid, often prescribed for tuberculosis
- Blood pressure and heart medications including Cardene, Dilacor, and Quinaglute
- Some antidepressants
- Antibiotics such as Synercid, Ketek, and Biaxin
Before starting treatment with Avodart, tell your doctor about all of the medications you take on a regular basis, including prescriptions as well as over the counter remedies, natural supplements, and vitamins. This can minimize the risks of experiencing the side effects and interactions while using Avodart.
