What is Flexeril?

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) is a prescription medication used to treat muscle injuries. Flexeril is intended for temporary use on strains and sprains. It is not a long term solution for muscle pain. This medication works on the brain stem to ease painful spasms related to muscle injuries.

Flexeril Uses

Flexeril should be used along with physical therapy for the best results. This medication should not be used for more than 3 weeks. If your muscle pain and spasms have not improved over this time, consult a doctor to further evaluate the injury. This medication is safest when used in small doses and side effects will be less pronounced with a conservative dosing plan.
