Arimidex Dosage

The recommended dosage for Amiridex is 1 mg tablet to be taken once a day by mouth.

Here are some general guidelines:

  • It is safe to take with or without food.
  • It is best to take Amiridex at around the same time every day.
  • If you miss a dose, you should take it as soon as you remember; although, if you are close to time for your next dose, you should just skip the missed dose and continue your schedule as usual.
  • You should not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.

The effects of overdosing on Amiridex are not clear. Women in studies tolerated high doses without any known problems. Still, if overdose is expected, a poison control center or emergency room should be contacted immediately.

Storage

Arimidex should be stored at room temperature in an area that is not prone to excess heat and moisture. For example, you would not store Arimidex in a bathroom or in a car on a hot day.

Arimidex should remain in the container provided by the pharmacy, and it should be closed tightly at all times. Only the prescribed patient should take Arimidex, and Arimidex should be kept out of the reach of children at all times.
